The dog of Wellington Phoenix captain Annalie Longo went viral over the weekend after making her way onto the pitch. Longo shares her reaction to the classic Ninja A-League moment.

Wellington lost 1-0 to Canberra United on Sunday but it was Longo’s four-legged friend who stole the headlines at Porirua Park in Round 2.

Chants of ‘Who let the dogs out?’ from the Yellow Fever were heard as the dog galloped onto the pitch at the start of the second half, causing a momentary halt to proceedings.

It had commentator Jason Pine saying: “This is indeed the best league in the world!”

Now, Longo has delivered a brilliant response to the pooch invader.

“As soon as I saw her I died,” Longo told the A-Leagues via Instagram.

“All of the emotions went through my head! I was thinking how on earth is she on the pitch!!!

“Do I chase her, do I wait. It was so loud she couldn’t hear me.

“I’m glad she made people smile.”
