With spots in the Hyundai A-League’s top four and top six on the line, Saturday night’s Hyundai A-League double-header is set to have a huge impact on the upcoming Finals Series.
First up, Brisbane Roar host the struggling Central Coast Mariners knowing a win will catapult them into the top six.
After an up-and-down season, John Aloisi’s side sit just one point behind the sixth-placed Wanderers and have a great opportunity to strengthen their case for a finals berth.

Should the Roar pick up three valuable points at Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane will leapfrog Western Sydney into sixth-spot ahead of the Red and Black’s away clash with Victory.
And with Roar travelling to Sydney to tackle Wanderers next weekend, it looms as arguably the most important of Brisbane’s season to date.
Assuming Brisbane pick up three points in the early game on Saturday, Wanderers will know anything less than a win against Victory will see them drop out of the top six.

But it won’t be easy against a Victory side who will be desperate to return to winning ways after Adelaide’s usurped the Big V from the top four following their win over Wellington on Friday.
Both Victory and Wanderers suffered disappointing defeats last weekend and will be keen to rebound in a strong way, particularly given what’s at stake as we head towards the Finals Series.
It looms as a fascinating night of action in the A-League.
