Western Sydney defender Scott Jamieson admits Perth Glory’s winning streak has come as a shock and says the Wanderers are embracing being the hunted in the race for the Premiers’ Plate.
In one of the tightest competitions in years, the Wanderers currently lead the Hyundai A-League on goal difference from Brisbane Roar heading into the last seven rounds of the regular season.
There’s only seven points separating them from Friday night’s opponents Perth, who are currently seventh but the form team of the league.
With Glory in such red-hot form and the Wanderers playing entertaining football, the clash at Pirtek Stadium promises to be a belter.

“They’re flying aren’t they?” said Jamieson, who left Glory for the Wanderers in the off-season.
“They’re five wins in a row now, scoring a lot of goals and entertaining the good people of Perth. They’re on a good run and good on them.
“It does [surprise] how well they are doing, but in saying that they signed some very good players in January and have built on what they had in the early few rounds of the season.
“They’re starting to score goals, yeah they conceded three which is something they’d want to fix but they are scoring goals and winning games.
“It’s unconventional but they’re winning, that’s the thing with them,” he added.
