Brisbane Roar coach John Aloisi wasn’t panicking after his charges were spanked 4-0 on Friday night against a rampant Victory, saying his team will learn from their mistakes.
A stunning three-goal first half to Victory laid the platform for an emphatic win at AAMI Park, with the Big V ruthlessly capitalising on Roar defensive errors.
League leader Roar conceded a fourth early in the second half to confirm a night to forget for the Queensland outfit.

Aloisi said Victory punished his side and paid tribute to the Big V’s intent, but wasn’t panicking just yet.
“The boys didn’t shy away. They showed to keep on trying our way of football and we’ll learn from our mistakes,” he told SBS TV.
“I wouldn’t say defensively we were bad. But when we had the ball we weren’t as good as what we should be.
“But we’ll learn from it and we think we still have a lot of improving to do.”
Roar remain on top of the Hyundai A-League ladder though Wanderers could go top should they win Saturday night’s Sydney derby.
“I want my players to be brave. As in brave in the way we want to play. It’s got us into this position so far,” added Aloisi.
“We know we can outplay teams. But next time we have to make sure we don’t get caught on the ball in those areas and if we do we’re set up to stop them punishing us on the counter.”
Aloisi also shrugged off the losses of Olyroos and key Roar players Maclaren, Borrello and Donachie.
“No connection. Everyone in this squad I believe in them. We’re not making any excuses,” he said.
