Socceroos midfielder and Crystal Palace captain, Mile Jedinak, has signed an extension to his contract at Selhurst Park.
The 29-year-old midfielder’s contract was due to run out at the end of the season, but Jedinak, playing under new coach Tony Pulis, has signed a three and a half year extension, committing himself to the club until June 2017.
Jedinak has been a hit with the Palace faithful, since securing a move from Turkish side Genclerbirligi in the 2011/12 pre-season.
Palace, under Jedinak’s leadership, won promotion to the English Premier League in last season’s play-off final, a season that culminated with Jedinak winning the Crystal Palace Player of the Year Award.
The combative centre-midfielder has been in excellent form this season in England’s top division and recently won the Australian Footballer of the Year award.
Jedinak told Palace’s official website: “The first season was great and the second obviously ended in us getting promoted and now we’re in the Premier League where we want to be, so I’m really happy here and pleased that I’ve done this.”
