Gold Coast United coach Miron Bleiberg’s mission to add South American flair to the new Hyundai A-League team has proven successful with three Brazilians confirming they’ll be joining the squad in 2009.

As expected, midfielders Robson and Jefferson have agreed terms and will be joined by 31-year-old striker Milson.

All three players have agreed to one-year deals with the club.

“He’s (Milson) very strong in the air and for a big guy is mobile and intelligent around the penalty box,” Bleiberg said.

“Milson is an elegant player who has been around and I’m delighted to have secured his services for our inaugural season.”

“He really caught my eye when I watched him and he will be a great asset to our squad. His experience will valuable to us.”

Milson will battle it out with Phoenix star Shane Smeltz and Victorian State League player Andrew Barisic for a position in attack.

The three new signings bring Gold Coast’s roster up to 15 with Bleiberg returning home on Tuesday before pursuing other transfer targets in January.
